It's going to be an all German final in Wembley.
After both Bundesliga clubs managed to wallop their opponents in their respective first legs, they managed to hold each one of them off in leg 2.
Borussia Dortmund managed to survive Real Madrid's comeback attempt at the Bernabeu as Real took the leg 2-0. They still fell short as Dortmund advances on a 4-3 aggregate score.
As for Bayern Munich, they crushed the Messi-less Barcelona at their own home stadium of Camp Nou 3-0 making their aggregate victory 7-0.
It will be Borussia Dortmund taking on rival Bayern Munich for the Champions Cup.
Dortmund has only been to the UCL Final once back in 1997 when they defeated Juventus for their only Champions Cup title. Bayern Munich just went to the Champions League Final last year losing in penalties in their own home stadium of Allianz Arena to Chelsea. The last time that Munich has won the Champions Cup was in 2001 when they defeated Valencia in penalties (ironically enough).
As for Barcelona and Real Madrid, these top clubs will always have next year. That's the benefit of being a powerhouse. Though Real Madrid might have a lesser chance with hints and rumors that Jose Mourinho will not be their manager next season. The Mourinho era in Madrid hasn't been a pretty one but at least some silverware was won.
May 25th is the UCL Final. I need to get some Brats.
P.S. Comeback to Chelsea, Mourinho. The two Manchester clubs are killing us.

Real Madrid Win Contrversial Game in Machester
The Champions League is certainly the worst time for there to be a controversial call, especially when the teams involved are very well known.
Real Madrid and Manchester United played the 2nd leg of their UCL match up last night at Old Trafford. Man U managed to grab a 1-0 lead when Nani was sent off with a Red Card in the 56' by Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir. Nani had tried to bring the ball down with his leg when he inadvertently hit Madrid defender Arbeloa in the mid-section. With Man U down a man, Real Madrid managed to score 2 goals to win the game with the clincher coming from Cristiano Ronaldo. Final was 2-1 with Real Madrid advancing to the quarterfinals on a 3-2 aggregate.
Controversy is something that the world sport doesn't need more of what with the match fixing scandals all over the place these days. When you see Nani sent off in that circumstance, you have to question the referee and the validity of the match to some extent. I am not saying that Nani deserved a pass because a yellow would've been appropriate. But a red card was just a misuse of the referee's power.
Either way, Real Madrid caught a break while Manchester United got Royally screwed.

Roberto Di Matteo Fired by Chelsea (WHY?!?!?!?!)
You know how there are some head coaches who have won a title but then slump for a while and eventually get axed because ownership asks "what have you done for me lately?" That process seems to go a lot faster in Europe.
After being manager of the club for less than a year (about 8 months), Roberto Di Matteo was fired by Chelsea FC because of the club's group stage failures that leave them on the verge of not even making the elimination rounds of the Champions League. Despite the fact that Chelsea is third in the EPL table and they had WON their first ever Champions Cup under Di Matteo, the 42 year old Swiss manager has been shown the door.
Does anybody not named Jose Mourinho last longer than a year in Chelsea? F**k Jerry"s world, this is Roman's universe. HOW THE HELL DO YOU FIRE A MANAGER AFTER THE CHAMPIONS CUP RUN YOU JUST HAD THE PREVIOUS SEASON?!?!?! YOU WOULDN'T EVEN BE THERE ABOUT TO BE KICKED OUT OF THE UCL IF NOT FOR THAT RUN!!!!
I must admit I am saddened that Di Matteo wasn't given a full year but it seems that a lot of managers of Chelsea were given even shorter times. I understand that you want the best team and they are under performing in the UCL right now but this is just too soon. This move is so fast that it's making "knee jerk reactions" look slow.
I do feel bad for coaches and managers here in North American Sports that get fired before ever really ever having time to do anything but this move is just on a whole other level.
P.S. Here's hoping the next guy is able to unload his personal belongings in the manager's office before getting canned.

2012-13 UCL Preview: Madrid Better Be for Real
Now that I have done a football preview, time for a Futbol preview.
Though the UEFA Champions League doesn't start for a few weeks, the group seedings were released and it's seems like fix is in for traditional powerhouses. The only one where it seems that the fix isn't in totally is Group D where Real Madrid and Man City are grouped together, the defending La Liga champs and EPL champs respectively. They both should advance to the knockout stages but when two powerhouses like this are grouped together anything can happen. An upset from a lesser club could cost much more in a group like this one.
As for a favorite to win the UCL title? My pick is selfishly going to be Real Madrid. This is Jose Mourinho's third year as the team's manager and they were unfortunate penalties away from getting to the UCL Final last year. Luka Modric seems to be the big signing during the transfer window so far and he should sure up the midfield. Plus, Cristiano Ronaldo along with Gonzalo Higuain and Karin Benzema ensure that the club still has a lot of fire power. NOW START WINNING SOME MATCHES IN LA LIGA FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!
