Everybody in the football universe was stunned that Jimmy Clausen wasn't picked in the first round. The fans were on their toes as Round 2 came and Jimmy wasn't picked until the 16th pick of that round. The Carolina Panthers would be the ones to take Jimmy as this was their first pick in the draft (lucky). It seems like a good fit for Jimmy as he'll have a solid team around him and a great WR in Steve Smith. The Panthers will hope that Jimmy Clausen plays like Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, or Mark Sanchez.
As for McCoy, he wouldn't be picked in the 2nd round. He would have to wait until the Browns picked him as the 85th overall pick in the 3rd round. I still expect Cleveland to give Jake Delhomme the reins for this season but if he waivers, McCoy could replace him by week 6. I would want to develop McCoy a little more though.
Another notable I would like to mention is the Vikings taking Toby Gerhart in the 2nd round. It will be interesting to follow Gerhart's career and to see how the Vikings use him. Most likely as a battering ram to get a TD at the goal line.
P.S. This will be my last post covering the 2010 NFL Draft. The only reason I mentioned the 2nd or 3rd round is McCoy and Clausen. Besides I have things to do like yell at the 49ers for being serious about Alex Smith being their QB.
