How will this Streak End?

Brett Favre has had a bad year so far that just might be getting worse. Throughout most of this season, sexting allegations have been made against the Iron Man. Reports have surfaced that when Favre was with the Jets that he sent suggestive texts, voicemails, and even photos of himself to Jenn Sterger who was a sideline reporter for the Jets at the time. The story now is that Sterger's PR guy, Phil Reese, has said that they will not sue Favre, the Jets, or the NFL if the NFL would suspend Favre.

Sexual Harassment is a serious offense and if these allegations are true, Favre deserves to be suspended. But a suspension to end the consecutive games streak of 297? That would be a shocker. However, a suspension may not be the reason the streak would ultimately end as Favre was injured in the last game by Buffalo Bill's linebacker, Arthur Moats, and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants. Injury might be the end of the streak. Then again, Favre may make it to the end of the season and retire once and for all. So how will the streak end: Suspension, Injury, or Retirement?

My bet is retirement. Favre will probably start Sunday and make it through the end of the season while the NFL will not suspend Favre because they don't want to be the reason why this streak ended. As I said, though, the NFL should suspend him if there is enough incriminating evidence. It shouldn't matter what a player's status is and what historic thing he might be doing. Everyone needs to obey the rules.

P.S. Could the NFL fine Favre instead?
