Already another no hitter in baseball and the second one this week. This one done by a guy who can say he's been there before. Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers threw his second no hitter yesterday against the Blue Jays in Toronto. The Tigers would win, obviously, 9-0. Verlander was actually close to getting a perfect game until he walked J.P. Abrencibia on a full count. He would later get him out on a double play ball. Verlander faced 27 batters, threw 108 pitches, struck out 4, and walked one. Verlander is now the 30th pitcher to have multiple no hitters.
Congrats to him for this unique accomplishment. Keep pitching in triple digits and you might get another this season.
