Today marked the end of a very significant streak in baseball and it was one that was being watched and one that couldn't help but be noticed. It was an exciting to watch and as a fan you wondered when and how it would end. Well it ended today and it was something that it ended in style. Cody "the Boss" Ross ended the Giants Solo Home Run streak at 21 as he hit a Two Run Home Run today against the Marlins as the Giants won 5-2 and won the series 2-1. This streak is actually a MLB record for the type of Home Run hit. It was the first Giants Home Run that wasn't a Solo Shot since July 6th. It was a truly remarkable streak for a team like the Giants. Considering the fact that the Giants have trouble getting runs, you'd figure they would take a record like this one.
Also, Dan Uggla would end his hitting streak at 33 games. Whatever. That ain't a record.
