Jim Thome is one of those guys that has been in the league forever. He also has always been seen as a power kind of guy known for the long ball. Last night he would help solidify that statement again when the Twins played the Tigers. Jim Thome went yard not once but twice (in consecutive at bats) and the 2nd time was his 600th home run of his career. Both were impressive shots and both hit the opposite way. This achievement makes Jim Thome the 8th member of the 600 Home Run Club. Quite a thing to be able to say you're part of that rare club and to do it at age 40 soon to be 41.
Congrats to Jim Thome and his milestone. This destined Hall of Famer has solidified his spot in history.
