I didn't see the first half of this game and even the first part of the third quarter. I rushed home to catch the rest of it and when I got there I saw that it was already over... so to speak. It was already 31-3, 49ers in front? The Bucs came to Candlestick to play the 49ers. Considering how well these two teams were playing, it seemed like it was going to be a close match up. I was wrong. The game started to get away from the Bucs when Josh Freeman threw a INT to Carlos Rogers which was returned for a 31 yard TD. It was all down hill from there as the 49ers cruise to a victory, 48-3.
I love it. The 49ers ran the ball effectively for 213 total rushing yards with Frank Gore getting 125 of those yards along with a TD. Alex Smith also had a pretty good game going 11/19 for 170 yards and 3 TD passes, two of which went to Vernon Davis. Again, Smith didn't do too much throwing it only 19 times but more importantly he didn't hurt us that much. As for the Bucs, I'm glad the 49ers walked all over you but you're making me look like a fool. Where were you guys, today?
Anyway, a great game for 49ers and they are now 4-1 on the season and are riding a 3 game winning streak. As for Harbaugh, good job so far. Show me what you can do against those Lions next week and then I might admit I was wrong about you.
