This is just what I need to feel better and that is the Rays being eliminated from the playoffs. They take the Red Sox spot and then are eliminated in the first round. After being down 2-1 in the series, the Rays looked to stay alive in a crucial game 4 at home in this ALDS match up against the Rangers. The Rangers had a rough start in this series losing game 1, 9-0, but they had come around and rallied. That rally continued last night as they were lead by Adrian Beltre's 3 solo home runs. Neftali Feliz comes in and manages to hold off a Rays rally in the 9th and sealed the victory for the Rangers, 4-3, and the series, 3-1.
The Rays are the first team out. I guess that Longoria walk off home run really meant something in Tampa Bay in the long run (HA HA HA). Truth be told I would rather have the Yankees out. Instead, Burnett pitches a good game and the Yanks even the series with a 10-1 victory. Crucial game 5 of that series is Thursday in the Bronx. Let's go Tigers.
