YANKEES ARE OUT!!!

Now it's a good October. The New York Yankees are out. They were tied with the Tigers 2-2 in their division series and had their game 5 last night. The Tigers needed to get off to fast start being in Yankee Stadium and did with two solo home runs in the 1st inning: one by Don Kelly and one by Delmon Young. Another run was added in the 5th for the Tigers and it was just enough for them as the game ended at 3-2. Jose Valverde struck out A-Rod in the 9th to end the series. The Tigers are now headed to the ALCS to face the Rangers.

Thank goodness the Yankees have been eliminated. I can now enjoy the rest of October. A bit surprising that Fister did better than Nova but the playoffs are unpredictable. The other game 5's are tomorrow night and then it's off to the Championship Series round.
