Cotto de Mayo

So the title is a bit offensive but that's what comedy is for the most part.

Floyd Mayweather said a while back that he had the MGM Grand reserved for a fight May 5th and he wanted to face Manny Pacquiao. It seems that Mayweather will have a fight on that day as he received a one time license from the Nevada Athletic Commission to fight. The problem is that it's not Pacquiao he's fighting, it's Miguel Cotto. After the hearing, Mayweather tweeted "I'm fighting Miguel Cotto on May 5th because Miss Pac Man is ducking me."

First of all, I hope Cotto beats his a**. Second of all, if Pacquiao does indeed fight Timothy Bradley Jr. in June like it is speculated, I hope Bradley beats his a**. Why have I turned on both of them? Because I have had it with waiting for the "Best Fight Ever." I'm losing interest in this fight that doesn't appear to be coming any time soon.

If it ever happens, so be it. But I am tired of rooting for it and never seeing it come. I hope Mayweather loses most of all. That way the Pacquiao-Mayweather speculation might die down with Mayweather having a loss on his record and to a guy that Pacquiao had beaten.
