Two fine performances across the NBA yesterday. First, Jeremy Lin and the Knicks rebounded from their loss to the Hornets on Friday by beating the defending champs. The Mavericks thought they would test their mettle against the Knicks and their new founded talent and they seemed to keep it close. Dirk Nowitzki had a fine game with 34 points. Jeremy Lin, however, had another great game. True, Lin committed 7 turnovers but he had 28 points, 14 assists, and 5 steals as the Knicks won it, 104-97. Back to an even .500 once more. Someone tell Melo to take his time coming back.
The other fine performance comes from Kevin Durant who posted a career high in points as his Thunder took on the Nuggets. This game was very close and actually went into OT. In the end, it was OKC picking up the win, 124-118. Russell Westbrook had 40 points and 9 assists in this game but Durant had the career high 51 points along with 8 rebounds. This win reassures the Thunder as the best team in the West at the moment.
A fine weekend of basketball. Man, that's weird to say.
