Perhaps this will calm things down in the NBA. Jeremy Lin has been the toast of Wall Street for the last couple of weeks and that fever for him was looking to go into the weekend. The NBA owned New Orleans Hornets, however, ruined the fun. Just when the Knicks managed to climb back to an even .500, they lose and are back under it again. The Knicks had to try and mount a comeback that maybe needed another minute or two to be successful. The Hornets manage to put an end to the Knicks 7 game winning streak, 89-85.
Point wise, Lin did not have a bad game with 26 points. The problem was that the turnovers finally caught up to him. 9 turnovers and only 5 assists for Lin. Something he will need to get better at if this team is going to contend. Still, this is just a hiccup compared to what Lin has done for the last couple of weeks. The real test for the Knicks this weekend is the Mavericks on Sunday. They hope to have Carmelo Anthony back for that game and we hope to see a glimpse at what this new Big Three will bring for New York.
