Fabio Capello Quits as England's Manager

I told you I was going to write about stories abroad if none were interesting here. Who cares about a buzzer beater between Duke and UNC in the middle of a worthless NCAA Basketball season?

Overseas, England is going through a change in more than one way. They had just relieved John Terry as captain of the national squad and they seemingly now have to get a new manager. Fabio Capello has resigned as England's manager as he was seemingly very upset with his bosses that stemmed from the stripping of Terry's captaincy. I believe that Capello was going to leave after Euro 2012 but now the national squad will have to go through the tournament with a new manager. He was manager of England's squad for 4 years and won about 67% of the matches while there.

This just sounds like a disaster for England. I know the Terry thing sounds serious with the racist charges around it but I'm a little confused on why they did this now? If Terry did say these offensive things then he deserves criticism and appropriate punishment but I think Capello was just trying to keep England's chances of winning the Euro cup. Perhaps the FA were trying to keep the national team's image pure going into the tournament.

Whatever the argument and fighting was about, England now has no leader, on or to the side of the pitch. They just look like they won't do well in this tournament at all.

P.S. As for a possible new manager, Harry Redknapp from Tottenham Hotspur seems like the candidate everyone wants. He also just seemingly was cleared of tax evasion charges.
