NFL Adding Two Franchises?

The speculation all along has been that an NFL team from somewhere across the league was going to move to LA to occupy the new stadium that is being planned for the city. In an interview with Bob Costas, Roger Goodell said that the league doesn't want to move any of their teams. With that option out, what about 33 teams? That seems unlikely, as well. Goodell has said that the league wouldn't go to that due to mostly scheduling issues. What is the other option with a new franchise in LA? It's simple. Add another franchise to the league on top of the one in LA to balance it out. If the NFL puts a team in LA, Goodell says the league will likely add another team elsewhere which will be 34 teams in the NFL at that point.

I have two problems with this whole issue. First, LA doesn't want a team (or two for that matter). Just ask the Rams, Chargers, and Raiders. Second, where else are you going to put a team? I could see Memphis to a degree but the Titans own the whole state. Oklahoma City could work considering the Thunder are managing to keep their team. Problem is that they only have a 20K seat stadium compared to 70K one from the NFL to fill. Portland has had some history with professional teams but nothing to this level. It's sort of fun pulling up a US map and looking at all the possible places for an NFL franchise. I wonder how many thousands will write to the offices in New York and beg for a team.

This possible 34th team adds even more implications in the LA stadium deal. Will it happen? All the signs point to a team in LA and, if this interview is accurate, that means the people should start writing the Commissioner.

Other than these possible US cities, I don't see where in the US Goodell could fit ano.... no... not over there... NOT LONDON!!! GOODELL, I BEG OF YOU TO KEEP THIS IN THE COUNTRY!!!

P.P.S. CANADA, AT THE WORST!!!
