When Pete Carroll left USC to coach the Seahawks, USC then needed to find a head coach. There was talk to hire Jack Del Rio but he is staying at Jacksonville. But the true hire is Lane Kiffin from Tennessee. Lane Kiffin was 7-6 this last year with the Volunteers in a tough SEC conference. Before that, he was the Raiders coach for a couple years before being fired. Lane Kiffin will now try to hold this USC team together and keep it a dominate program.
Now my comments: Kiffin doesn't deserve this nor should he have been offered the job. Kiffin has not yet proven he can be a good coach in college or the pros. He's only been in Tennessee one year and he barely made it over .500. I don't know why USC has hired this coach that may not have enough experience. Also I still don't why the NCAA allows this kind of thing where a coach can resign a post in one school to just coach at another. The NCAA needs to stop this.
