With Lane Kiffin leaving the team and going to USC, the Volunteers now needed to find a new head coach very fast as National Signing day was fast approaching. They couldn't find any great coaches to take the job what with the limited time and Kiffin practically flipping them off as he was leaving. They did hire Derek Dooley who was recently the Louisiana Tech head coach. His team was in the Wac Conference which was dominated by Boise State this year. He has a career record of 17-20 all at Louisiana Tech. This is a great job for Dooley but bad luck for the Volunteers.
Meanwhile the 49ers will have one less home game in San Francisco next year as one of their home games will be used in the annual NFL London trip where the 49ers are technically hosting the Broncos. While I've never supported any NFL games being played in Europe or even outside of the USA, this may be good news for the 49ers. It may mean a little more league recognition provided we win this game. The London game is regrettably isn't going away soon so why not try and spin this in a positive light.
P.S. DAMN YOU ROGER GOODELL!!!
