Cam Newton to Enter the NFL Draft

Cam seems to have already achieved everything he can achieve in college football; he won a National title for Auburn and won the Heisman Trophy. Newton then probably asked himself "What's there left to do in college?" The answer is simple: nothing. With that said, Cameron Newton has declared that he will enter the NFL Draft rather than return to Auburn for his senior year. It seemed like this move was inevitable considering his great performance this year and also the controversy surrounding the pay-for-play accusations.

So where will Cameron Newton go in the NFL Draft? While he is the Heisman winner, he's often compared to Tim Tebow as a non-traditional QB. Because of this, the top picks will most likely pass him by thinking he will not succeed in the NFL. If I had to pick where he would go, I think he would be the 15th pick in the draft and go to the Miami Dolphins. They've had QB woes since Dan Marino left in 1999 and Cameron Newton can be a big boost to them considering they have been known to use a few more trick plays and Wildcat plays than most other teams. Of course this is speculation and Newton (or Tebow) could eventually end up as a traditional QB but for now he will be considered a risky first round pick.

P.S. I would love to have Cameron Newton on the 49ers just because his name isn't Alex Smith but Jim Harbaugh runs a Pro Style offense and has no need for someone like Newton.
