L.T. Pleas Guilty But No Jail Time

Again, not LaDanian Tomlinson but Lawrence Taylor. The Original L.T.

Taylor was charged back in May of 2010 with sex crimes that revolved around a 16 year old prostitute. That story came to a close yesterday. Taylor pled guilty to soliciting a prostitute and a second count of having sex with a women without her consent (16 year olds can't consent). In exchange, Taylor got no jail time, 6 years probation, and must register as a sex offender. He also paid a $1,300 fine. That's it? I thought we where going to have a juicy trial with every little detail coming out. Instead, there is a measly plea that has no jail time. Will any sex offender that is a athlete ever go to jail? True Taylor said that she was 19 (which means nothing legally) but that's what every person accused of statutory rape says (according to Law and Order: SVU).

Either way, at least he's registered. Better than nothing I guess.

P.S. They almost had him locked up but he had a "Get Out of Jail Free" card.
