Miami Will Keep Tony Sparano

Miami has struggled the last couple of seasons trying to get in front of either the Pats or the Jets. This year they went 7-9 and, even though they were great on the road, they only won 1 game at home. The thought was that Tony Sparano was going to get the boot this off season, especially when the team decided to interview Jim Harbaugh today for the head coach's job supposedly offering him $7-8 Million a year. After those talks, however, things seemed to have not gone Miami's way. They will keep Tony Sparano on as their head coach.

Is this a joke? This team has deliberately looked for a new head coach while still holding on to the one they are trying to replace. Who the hell does that? It seems like the worst thing you can do. Yes, many businesses interview for positions they seek to replace but it is usually not openly broadcasted like this. Sparano is now in a tough situation to try and coach a team that only wants him because they couldn't replace him. Sparano is going to get no respect from his players and the staff with everyone knowing management tried to pull this kind of stunt off. The Dolphins should be ashamed of themselves for trying something this low, especially since it didn't work (HA HA HA).

P.S. What does this mean for Jim Harbuagh? Is he really staying at Stanford with Andrew Luck?
