Ravens Pick Apart Chiefs and Packers Hold Off Eagles

The Wild Card round of the playoffs finished today with the first game featuring the Ravens vs. the Chiefs. It looked like it was going to be a close game throughout as it was 10-7 at half time. The Ravens, though, would take control of the second half and ended up destroying the Chiefs, 30-7. The Chiefs QB, Matt Cassel, threw for just 70 yards, 3 INTs, and no TDs in the loss as the Ravens had the ball for over 40 minutes. Joe Flacco threw for 265 yards and 2 TDs. The Ravens go on and will face their AFC North Rivals, the Steelers, next week.

The 2nd game had the Packers going into Philly facing the Eagles. The Packers had control of this game throughout with Aaron Rodgers throwing for 180 yards and 3 TDs. The key for the Packers, however, was James Starks who carried the team on the ground for 123 yards. Vick and the Eagles look like they were going to comeback to win this game but Michael Vick threw an INT to Tramon Williams about a half minute to go. Packers win, 21-16. A horrible way for Michael Vick to end his magnificent season. The Packers will face the Falcons in Atlanta next week.

The Wild Card round is over as the bye teams now come into play. In addition to the two games mentioned earlier, the Jets will have a grudge match against the Patriots and the Seahawks will travel to Chicago to take on the Bears. Any chance the Seahawks shock us twice?
