Lakers Lose Third Straight

The Lakers right look like they are in rough waters. After winning 4 straight games one of which was against the Celtics, the Lakers have lost 3 in a row with the last loss at the hands of the Cavs, 104-99. Ramon Sessions was the big scorer for the Cavs getting 32 points in the win. While the Lakers have control of the Pacific division by 9 games, they are 9 games behind the Spurs for the top spot in the Western Conference. They are even a couple games behind the Mavericks conference wise.

But should Lakers fans start to panic? NO!!! It's the regular season, folks. The Lakers will get into the playoffs as a one of the top seeds and need to just do that. The Lakers don't need to sweat over losing to the Cavs (while it is embarrassing) because they won't face them in the postseason. They will get their act together by the postseason just like they did last year.

Of course, to just play devil's advocate, they have faced San Antonio twice this year and have lost both times. They still have two more games against them before the postseason so let's not press the panic button unless they lose them both.

P.S. Even in that scenario, I wouldn't panic. The playoffs have a much smoother schedule than the regular season. The Lakers are used to that schedule.
