Peter Forsberg Retires from the NHL

Peter Forsberg recently made a comeback to the NHL after 2 seasons away. He wasn't retired from the sport as he was playing for MODO Hockey in Sweden. He just signed a $1 million contract to play for the Avalanche (his former team) the remainder of the season when he decides to call it quits. Peter Forsberg is retiring from the NHL after just 2 games back in the league. Now it may be easy to criticize Peter Forsberg for quitting so soon but it seems to me he just wanted to play in the NHL one more time and see if he could. Seems fitting to do so with the team he was with for most of his career and won two Stanley Cup titles with. Forsberg was a great player during his prime and will always be remembered alongside Joe Sakic and Patrick Roy. That was a great Avalanche team.
