After making a couple major errors that cost the Cowboys the game last week vs. the Jets, Tony Romo made what could be called a statement game. The media has been bashing him, perhaps unfairly, and anyone under that big of microscope would want them to stop. Tony Romo might have silenced his critics for the time being thanks to a great performance yesterday. The Cowboys had another road test and they were down by ten in the 4th quarter. Romo, who had come back in despite having a couple fractured ribs, managed a comeback tie to send it into OT. After the Cowboys defense held their own, the Cowboys got it in OT and their first play was a 77 yard pass to Jesse Holley where he would be stopped at the one. The FG team came out and kicked in the game winner. Cowboys win, 27-24.
A great game for Romo in which I would actually applaud him for the most part. There was only one thing stopping me from doing that: HE DID IT AGAINST MY BELOVED 49ERS!!! The sad part is that Alex Smith had a decent game going 16/27 with 179 passing yards, 2 TDs and only one INT. That isn't that bad. But Romo comes in and makes a few great drives at the end to ruin the whole thing. I hope those ribs hurt.
I guess I shouldn't be too mad. We had a ten point lead in the 4th against the Cowboys. We could've been blown out but we weren't. That's something to be positive about, right?
P.S. On Second thought, no it's not. DAMN YOU, ROMO!!!
