More teams making conference moves is being discussed. Yes, it's a couple of teams in the Big 12. It's Texas and Oklahoma? Apparently the two schools have reached out to the Pac-12 about joining their conference seeing as Texas A&M is leaving the Big 12 and taking the conference out with it. There is talk of forming the Pac-16 with Oklahoma State and Texas Tech coming along with Texas and Oklahoma. The Pac-12 acknowledged that schools have reached out to them but also said they weren't seeking expansion partners.
I can't believe there is actually a chance of a Super Conference. What a story. There has been so much negative news for the Big 12 in the last year and this sounds like the final nail in the coffin for them. You know they're seeing the light with Texas and Oklahoma trying to get out. The major hiccup in this move might be Texas' TV Network as the Pac-12 doesn't seem to like the idea of one of their own schools having a separate network. Maybe Texas will get rid of their network to join the conference. Maybe the Pac-12 will let them keep it for a price. Who can say what will happen?
Perhaps the only thing that can made for certain is that the Big 12 is going down and what brought it down? Money. It's always about the money, even in a amateur sport.
P.S. I'd stop bashing College Football but they can't hear through their advertisers anyway.
