Certainly a shocking bit of news across the baseball world. Ozzie Guillen, the manager of the Chicago White Sox, has said that this was going to be his last year with the team and asked to be released from the organization. The White Sox complied with Ozzie, granting his request, and thanked him for years of service. Why leave the Southside of Chicago? He's taking his swearing to South Beach like every other outspoken star. Word is that Guillen will be the manager of the Florida Mar... I mean the Miami Marlins in 2012. That's right. Ozzie will be the manager of the slightly name changing Miami Marlins as they enter their new ballpark next season.
I have to say I will miss Ozzie in a White Sox uniform. He and the team just seemed like a perfect fit. They have had some good times as well, especially with a World Series victory in 2005. But managers and coaches move on. Nothing stays the same. As for the Marlins, this looks like a good move. Nothing like a outspoken manager to try and lift a club for their first year in a actual baseball stadium. Good Luck to Ozzie and good luck to the White Sox in finding a new manager. There isn't that many managers available that are as exciting as Ozzie Guillen.
P.S. That guy is F**king great.
