Looks like the Vikings have thrown someone off their Longboat. That someone is Donovan McNabb. McNabb came to the team at the start of the season to see if he could lead them back into the playoffs. That dream never came close to becoming true. It wasn't just McNabb's fault but he certainly didn't help. They then decided to start Christian Ponder and get his development process going. That basically signaled the end of McNabb in Minnesota.
Now McNabb has been waived and the small amount of speculation has begun on where he will go. He's 35 years old and on the decline of his career as his two teams after the Eagles have been far from great. Not sure who would want to claim McNabb. I would've said the Texans but they just doomed their team's hopes for good by grabbing Jake Delhomme. Maybe a team that needs a back up or something will be willing to give him a look.
Will McNabb ever start again in the NFL? Maybe if he's willing to play back up and wait for an injury. However, I don't see a team heading into a season with Donovan McNabb as their number one guy from here on out.
