The 600 Save Club

Baseball history was made last night by Trevor Hoffman. The 42 year old closer earned his 600th career save as the Brewers beat the Cardinals, 4-2. Hoffman is the first closer ever to 600 saves. Hoffman has been known as a deadly closer in his career, perhaps as good as Mariano Rivera. Though less talked about, Hoffman is still one of the best closers of all time and he proved it again last night with this career achievement. Though Rivera is less than 50 saves behind him, Hoffman reaches the 600 milestone first.
