There are two important rules a person like Braylon Edwards should never break. One is taunting the opposing team. The other is drink and drive. Edwards couldn't follow either of those rules but the drinking and driving one is worse. Braylon Edwards was arrested on Tuesday on DWI charges or Driving While Intoxicated. The officer pulled him over originally because of his overly tinted windows. When the Alcohol breath had become apparent, Edwards was taken into custody with a .16 blood Alcohol content which is twice the legal limit. Edwards was released and has rejoined his teammates on the practice field.
The kicker of this story was that the team had a deal with a car service that will pick up and drive players wherever they want to go. This service is designed to avoid these kind of possible disasters. Funny that he didn't give them a call. Edwards has no excuse for this and may get suspended because of his and his known previous offenses. The Jets have already taken some action saying that while he will play, Edwards won't start Sunday's game. Hopefully this has been a humbling week for Braylon Edwards and a lucky one considering he could've hit someone like Donte Stallworth did. I hope he learns to do the right thing next time: PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL FOR A CAR!!!
