Josh Hamilton has a rep for hitting a lot of home runs. He somehow seemed to raise that bar today. Hamilton did what is actually considered rarer than a perfect game: he hit 4 Home Runs in a single game. Going into Baltimore, Josh Hamilton went 5-5 on the day with 4 Home Runs, each of them with one man on base. Hitting a home run is no easy feat but doing it four times in one game is insane. Perhaps Hamilton was flashing back to the 2008 Home Run Derby while doing this. The Rangers would win this game (duh), 10-3, with Hamilton carrying the offense on this day.
A remarkable achievement for a Hamilton and one that bares mentioning considering he's only the 16th player ever to do it. He is also off to an amazing start this year batting .406 with 14 Home Runs and 36 RBI's. Looks like someone wants another AL MVP.
