A couple big series' ended yesterday with them being in different sports. First, game 7 of the Capitals and Rangers in Hockey ended in MSG. The Caps managed to finish off the Cup Holders in their last series but were unable to do the same with the Rangers. The Rangers scored the first goal of the game with a Brad Richards goal in the 1st period which spelled doom for the Caps in the stats department. There wouldn't be another goal until the 3rd period when Michael Del Zotto scored a second goal for the Rangers. The Caps would score one of their one to make up for it almost instantly but where unable to score an equalizer with the remaining time left. Rangers win game 7, 2-1.
Another game 7 was in the NBA featuring the Lakers and the Nuggets playing in the Staples Center. The way the rest of the Lakers played game 6, you'd think that they were the ones not feeling so good. This game, the rest of the Lakers made up for it with Pau Gasol leading the way. Gasol scored 23 points, had 17 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 blocks. Andrew Bynum had a pretty good night himself with 16 points, 18 rebounds, and 6 blocks. Plus the return of World Peace got 15 points and Steve Blake scored 19 off the bench. Kobe only had to put up 17 points. Lakers win this one, 96-87.
Game 7's are always exciting and it's not over yet. Game 7 of the Clippers and Grizzlies will be today in Memphis. The Spurs are waiting...
