Kings Finish Off Coyotes in OT

Last Night was game 5 of the Western Conference Finals in the NHL between the Kings and the Coyotes with the Coyotes fighting for dear life. It was a back and forth kind of game throughout the first 2 periods with a stalemate in the 3rd. It seemed like the stalemate might get broken up when the Kings went down 2 guys due to penalties but somehow they managed to fight it with due in part to the Coyotes committing a penalty of their own. Regulation ended with a 3-3 tie. In OT we couldn't get a winner until a few minutes left until the 2nd OT. Dustin Penner of the Kings gets credit for the goal and wins it, 4-3. The Kings take the series, 4-1.

A fantastic road to the Finals for the Kings. They got by the Canucks, the Blues, and now the upstart Coyotes to get a shot at the Cup. I am sure that the Kings don't care who they will have to face in the Finals seeing how hot they are. Besides, I am sure they will enjoy seeing the Devils and the Rangers tear each other apart. They might get rusty but at least they will be well rested.
