In the battle for Master Chief's affection, Blues triumphed and managed to kill off the Reds who were distracted by funny banter and... wait, it's Chelsea vs. Liverpool not the other thing. Anyway, as I was kind of saying, the FA Cup Final was yesterday and it was between Chelsea and Liverpool at Wembley Stadium. Chelsea manage to get on the board first with two goals. First, Ramires scored a goal in the 11' which was the only first half goal. Didier Drogba then scored a second goal for Chelsea in the 52'. Liverpool would strike back with Andy Caroll scoring in the 64' but it would not be enough. Chelsea would win, 2-1, and claim their 4th FA Cup in the last six years.
Chelsea wins the domestic cup which is always a good thing but it's not their ultimate goal. That ultimate goal is in a couple of weeks but this definitely builds momentum towards it. Didier Drogba also proves he is still able to play at a high level. That is a good thing to know. Don't feel too bad though, Liverpool, you still got the Carling Cup. A consolation prize, yes, but something.
The real big picture in England is whether or not Man City can hold on and win out for the EPL title. They will play Queens Park Rangers next who will fighting like hell to stay in the EPL. One trying to win the league while the other trying to stay in it.
