Rome v. Stern: Lottery Rigged and Wife Beating?

After the NBA Lottery, a lot of people (me as well, for the hell of it) have suggested that the lottery was fixed to favor the Hornets and their new owner. This theory has been brushed aside and rightfully so because of a lack of proof and, in a way, how ridiculous it sounds. Jim Rome, however, didn't think it sounded far fetched. When Stern called into Jim Rome's radio show on the CBS Sports Network. Rome actually asked "I know that you appreciate a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, was the fix in for the lottery?" Stern said there wasn't and also shamed Rome for asking. During their conversation around the subject, Stern actually asked "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

Perhaps that last one was a loaded question or a ridiculous question to shame Rome further. Whatever the case, I loved it. Sure, it appears that Jim Rome does these kinds of things to get ratings and attention but at least someone asked Stern about the legitimacy of the lottery. Also, I wonder if Stern gets how this coupled with the non-trade involving Chris Paul to the Lakers makes it seem like the league is fixing things around the NBA.

Is the NBA fixing things around the league? "OF COURSE THEY ARE NOT!!!" (nudge, nudge; wink wink). Now let's stop this ridiculous nonsense and watched our "non-fixed" NBA Finals.
