Tonight was game of the NBA Finals or basically the time were I say "thank goodness it's all almost over." It was a sea of blue in OKC where the Thunder hosted Game 1 against the Miami Heat. It was the match up that fans wanted: Kevin Durant v. LeBron James. A lot of players made great plays all night but it was Kevin Durant's night. Despite falling behind in the first half, the Thunder as a whole made a minor comeback to get back in it. The Thunder then dominated the 4th quarter with Kevin Durant leading the way with 17 points in the quarter alone. Durant had 36 all together along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The Thunder would take game 1, 105-94.
A fantastic performance by Durant tonight along with Russell Westbrook who had 27 points himself along with 11 assists and 8 rebounds. While the Heat had five players who were in double digits with points, LeBron James was the only one with over 20 with 30 points. Wade struggled with 19 points shooting 7-19. LeBron James is the main guy showing up consistently... except for the fourth quarter of course. You got Kevin Durant doing that.
A nice game 1 makes it seem like it's going to be a good series to watch. Have to considering that the Stanley Cup series is over.
