The biggest scandal involving any college football program is almost over. The Jerry Sandusky Trial had just concluded and a verdict has been reached. The trial covered 10 boys that were abused over 15 years and Sandusky faced 48 counts of abuse because of it. The Jury came out and found Jerry Sandusky guilty of 45 of those counts charged against him. Sandusky now awaits sentencing which will undoubtedly be the rest of his life. Sentencing will likely be in a few months and he could get up to 448 years in prison.
A justified end to one of the worst scandals imaginable. Though justice has been served, it feels like there is still a hollow feeling after it all. Nothing done here could ever change what had happened in the past. As one of the mothers put it "Nobody wins. We've all lost."
