End of the Strasburg Craze
After an electrifying summer of Stephen Strasburg, the attraction has been shut down. Not to preserve injury, but to recover from one. Stephen Strasburg has a torn ligament in his right elbow which will likely lead to Tommy John surgery. This likely avenue will set back Strasburg's development 12-18 months. He could possibly miss all of 2011 because of the torn ligament. It's ironic that the Nationals limited him so much and he still got a serious injury. Questions now arise on how this will affect the direction of Strasburg's career. He is only 22 and has plenty of time to comeback. Though, the hype attraction around this young phenom may be gone forever.
