Last night featured another good game between the Miami Heat and Dirk Nowitzki. Dwayne Wade had another great night with 29 points and 11 rebounds. As implied, Dirk also had a great night scoring 34 points and getting 11 rebounds. Dirk would also come through late in the game keeping Dallas in it with 15 4th quarter points. Like the last game, it would come to a last shot by Dirk in fade away fashion. Unlike many that he had made before, he missed that shot to tie and the Heat win as a result, 88-86. Miami now has a 2-1 series lead.
That momentum that the Mavs had from game 2 is gone. As good as the Mavs have been this postseason, they have flopped so far in the NBA Finals. If it wasn't for Dirk Nowitzki, they would be down 3-0 in this series (if you don't count the fact they wouldn't be there at all). Even though Dirk missed that lost shot, the team around him needs to step up. Dirk is earning his paycheck, won't the rest of the Mavs earn there's?
