Two big bowl games were played yesterday in college football. Now normally the Rose Bowl gets played on New Year's day but since New Year's was on Sunday and the NFL claimed Sundays the Rose Bowl was played yesterday. But hey it's non profit (ha ha ha). Anyway, the Wisconsin Badgers and the Oregon Ducks played the Rose Bowl it was a high scoring dozy of a game. As for who won, the Ducks managed to prevail 45-38. This was Oregon's first Rose Bowl victory in 95 years. Finally the Ducks gets some BCS glory.
As for the other big bowl game, the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl was played between the Stanford Cardinal and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. This was Andrew Luck's last game with the Cardinal and quite frankly he should've exited with the Orange Bowl last year. A couple of bad kicks from Jordan Williamson at the end of regulation and in OT led to a Stanford loss as Quinn Sharp didn't miss his 22 yard FG in OT that gave the Bowl to the Cowboys, 41-38. Tough loss for the Cardinal but someones's got to lose.
Congrats to the Ducks and the Cowboys on their BCS Bowl victories. There are of course two BCS Bowl games remaining and the Illegitimate National Title still to play.
