The NFL Postseason has begun. Yesterday, two games were played to kick off the playoffs and the road to Indy. The first game was the Bengals vs. the Texans. It was the Texans first playoff game ever and they had to do it without their star QB, Matt Schaub. It didn't seem to effect them. They still had Arian Foster who ran all over the Bengals getting 153 yards and 2 TDs with 24 carries. Meanwhile, Andy Dalton struggled as he threw 3 INTs in which one was returned for a TD. Not a great postseason debut for Dalton. Texans win their first ever playoff game, 31-10. Great day for that relatively young franchise.
The second game of the day I would like to forget. The Lions went back to New Orleans for a second time to play in a Wild Card round playoff game to see if they could beat the Saints this time around in the Superdome. The result was the same. It was actually a close game throughout until you got to the 4th quarter. The Saints just couldn't be stopped and Stafford threw a couple costly INTs. The Saints win, 45-28. Why don't I like this win? That means the 49ers have to face the Saints in Candlestick next weekend. I would've preferred the Giants or the Falcons. Not that the 49ers can't beat the Saints I just would've preferred one of the other two teams.
Just two more games to be played this weekend. The Steelers will play the Broncos and the Falcons will face the Giants.
