Pats End Tebowmania, Ravens Oust the Texans, and Giants Upset the Packers (and Make 49ers Fans Happy)

The 49ers beat the Saints barely with 9 seconds left. What else happened this divisional weekend?

Well, first the Broncos went into New England to face the Patriots and try to keep the magic alive. It's a pity there was a guy in the audience exposing all the magicians tricks. That Brady kid just won't let the magician perform. It was over by halftime. Pats destroyed the Broncos, 45-10. Tom Brady threw 6 TD passes with five of them coming in the first half. Meanwhile, Tebow was 9/26 for only 136 yards and was sacked five times. The story of Tebow is over for the year. Now well get to see how the team will build around him if they will at all while the Pats go on in the postseason.

As to who will face the Pats? The Texans and the Ravens fought for that honor in Baltimore. It was surprisingly a close game towards the end as the Texans kept it within one score. However, the inexperience of TJ Yates as their QB cost them greatly. He threw 3 INTs during in this game with two of them towards the end to seal their fate. The Ravens just edge out the Texans, 20-13. A nice first postseason for the Texans franchise but short of what they wanted or could've achieved. As for the Ravens, they better improve on offense if they want to keep up with the Pats next weekend.

As for who the 49ers will play and where? The Giants and the Packers sorted that mess out in Green Bay. Though it was close game until the 4th, it seemed like Giants all the way. Everything was working for the G-Men: Defense was containing Rodgers, Manning was throwing a great game, even a Hail Mary pass to the endzone worked at the end of the 1st half. The Packers tried coming back in the 4th but the failed onside kick followed by a TD run by Brandon Jacobs sealed their fate. Giants consume the cheese, 37-20.

The divisional round is over leaving only the Conference Title games before the Super Bowl (and Pro Bowl, technically). The AFC will feature the Ravens going to Foxboro to face the Patriots. The NFC will feature the 49ers hosting the Giants at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. Is it the 22nd yet?
