2011 NL East Preview: It's Still Going to Philly

Who else is there pick? They have Cliff Lee, Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels, and that other guy. Even if one of their pitchers gets injured, they have 3 others to back him up. They might have the best rotation in the Majors. Plus, they have Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino in their lineup. That's pretty solid stuff.

As for the Braves, they are going through there first season in 20 years without Bobby Cox as their manager. Fredi Gonzalez has some big shoes to fill. The Braves haven't won a Division Title since 2005 and it looks like that's not going to change this year. They do have Jair Jurrjens and Derek Lowe but this team won't pass the Phillies. They have a shot for the Wild Card spot again especially with their new bat, Dan Uggla.

The rest of the NL East, however, looks pretty bad. The Marlins look like there talent is resting with Hanley Ramirez and Ricky Nolasco. The Nationals did make some improvement by adding Jeyson Werth but they still have no pitching until Stephen Strasburg comes back. As for the Mets...

So basically it's all Phillies once again. It would be a huge surprise if one of the other teams topples the 4 time defending NL East Champions.

P.S. Okay, the Mets don't look bad on paper but let's face it, they're going to suck. One way or another, THEY WILL SUCK!!!
