What a Lovely Streak

A historic night for anyone who likes streaks. Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves has just passed Moses Malone for the longest double-double streak since the NBA-ABA merger of 1976. Love had 16 points and 21 rebounds in the 101-75 win over the Pacers which lead to his 52nd consecutive double-double. Truly a phenomenal feat but it made me wonder what is the longest streak for double-doubles. I mean it can't be that big... It's not been offically recorded? And according to Yahoo! sports Wilt Chamberlin had around 227 straight? Damn, that's a lot. It's still pretty impressive for Love considering that this accomplish covers the last 30 years of the NBA. A time that has included some really great players like MJ and Magic.

Good for Kevin Love anyway to get a feat like that done. Doesn't matter though because you're team still bites.
