The Stanley Cup Playoffs roll on with a couple more teams joining the Flyers in the second round. The defending champs, the Pittsburgh Penguins, managed to stage a comeback against the Ottawa Senators and won the game, 4-3, and win the series, 4-2. The Pens were down three goals and managed to shut down Ottawa for the win. Meanwhile this Sharks won their game over the Avalanche, 5-2, and win the series, 4-2. Okay, so the Sharks proved me wrong for now. Wait till round 2, they'll disappoint yet.
Meanwhile in Chicago, the Blackhawks played the Nashville Predators in a game that Nashville won't forget. Marian Hossa of the Blackhawks would shove Dan Hamhuis of Nashville into the boards. This brutal move would get Hossa a 5 minute penalty. Hossa's teammate, Patrick Kane, would score a goal with less than 15 seconds to go to tie it at 5 and send the game into OT. Hossa's penalty time would expire in OT and he would come out and score the game winning goal to give Chicago a 3-2 advantage in the series. Perhaps Hossa should've been ejected from this game but he's likely to be suspended for the next one. If I'm Hossa, I think I'd rather sit out anyway than go to Nashville right now.
