Red Sox Win on Opening Night and My World Series Prediction for 2010

Baseball is back!!! The Yankees played the Red Sox at Fenway Park in the first game of the season. It was a great match up with CC Sabathia vs. Josh Beckett and they both sucked. Both gave up five runs each and didn't last past the Sixth. The Red Sox would come back to take the lead in the 7th and went on to win 9-7. While there were many great performances on both sides tonight, Dustin Pedroia was the difference for the Sox getting the tying home run in the 7th and then an insurance run in the 8th.

Not a bad start to the season but who will end it as World Series Champions? My pick is the Philadelphia Phillies. The Yankees are the favorite to win the Al Title but they won't repeat against a renewed Phillies club. The addition of Halladay helps but if Brad Lidge comes back strong, it will be awfully hard beating them.
