Twins Win the First Game Ever at Target Field

Yesterday was the Twins home opener and in a not in the Metrodome. They played in the brand new Target Field. 38 thousand people came and watched the Twins face the Red Sox in the first game ever in this new outdoor venue. Now usually I will root for the Red Sox with every ounce in my body and every voodoo trick in the book but this was the first game for the Twins in their new palace. I honestly thought it would be more fitting if they won this game. They would win 5-2 as the Twins took an early 2 run lead in the first and never looked back. Carl Pavano would get the win and Jon Rauch got the save. Nice start for the Twins in their new home.

P.S. Okay Red Sox, let's whoop their asses the rest of the series. I'll go get the dolls and the sacrificial chickens.
