USC will make a few changes to their athletics department. First, the Athletics Director will be changed from Mike Garrett to Pat Haden. Haden already has history with USC being one of their former QB's. The second thing they will do is return their copy of Reggie Bush's Heisman Trophy. Meanwhile, Reggie has not been asked to give his copy of the trophy back. A few things to comment on. First: They give out a Heisman to both the winner and the school? Didn't know that. Second: Good move changing Athletic Directors. The school probably wants to restart fresh and the way to show that is changing bosses. And Third: Tough move deciding to give back the Heisman. Definitely a good move but many would've been tempted in keeping an award like that.
Last: Should Reggie Bush give up his Heisman voluntarily? Should the Heisman Trophy Trust ask for it? Neither should happen. This was mainly the school's fault and the player shouldn't have to pay because of it. I wouldn't blame Bush if he does give it back or not but I don't expect him to.
P.S. Think USC will give back the National Title as well?
