Boise State Gets WAC'D Off While Top 2 Survive

A memorable night of College Football all around. First, #2 Auburn played against Alabama in the traditional Iron Bowl. Alabama seemed ready for an upset as they scored 24 unanswered points to start the game. Auburn didn't give up, though, as they fought back and took the lead, 28-27, in the 4th Quarter. The Tigers managed to hold on to a win by that score. 3 TD passes and a TD run by Cam Newton was the difference for this close win. Next was #1 Oregon as they faced Arizona. Arizona put up a respectable fight keeping Oregon either at a tie or just behind them throughout the first half. The 2nd half, though, the Ducks came back with 4 TDs on the ground and one in the air. The Ducks get by the Wildcats, 48-29.

The only other noteworthy game of the night was #4 Boise State going into Reno to face Nevada. The Broncos took a sizable lead going into half time, 24-7. Somehow, however, the Wolf Pack came back and managed to tie the game at 24. Then Doug Martin would score off a screen pass for a 79 yard TD for the Broncos. Nevada still wasn't done as Colin Kaepernick threw a TD pass to Rishard Matthews with 13 seconds left in regulation to tie it at 31. Boise State then gets the ball and decides to throw for a Hail Mary and Kellen Moore finds Titus Young who is down inside the 10 calling time out leaving 2 seconds on the clock. Kyle Brotzman comes on for a chip shot field goal and... HE MISSED IT!!! IT GOES JUST RIGHT OF THE POSTS, HE MISSED IT!!! OT comes and the Broncos get it first and are forced to take a Field Goal except BROTZMAN MISSES ANOTHER EASY KICK WIDE LEFT!!! The Wolf Pack get it, attempt a 34 yard kick, and Anthony Martinez makes history kicking the game winning field goal beating #4 Boise State, 34-31. NEVADA WINS, NEVADA WINS!!!

It has happened folks. Little David has beaten Big David. Rocky has been upset by a midget. The Underdog has been bested by a Chihuahua. The BCS Buster has been busted. Nevada has destroyed the National Title hopes of Boise State. The Cinderella of the last 5 years has had their glass slipper shattered. HOW COULD THIS BE?!?! The BCS Buster hopes now fall on TCU who takes on New Mexico tomorrow. The Crazy isn't over yet.

P.S. Even though Nevada fought back to tie, the Broncos had a miracle ending and they blew it. Hopefully, Kellen Moore decides to stay another year for another run.
