We knew it was coming for a while now since the team was just that bad. Last Night, they lost to the Packers, 45-7. In all fairness, they didn't have Romo but even with Romo they were losing games and would've probably lost that game. Jerry Jones had said he would stick with Phillips through the season. Maybe he meant the baseball season because Jerry Jones just fired him. The Offensive Coordinator, Jason Garrett, will take over as Head Coach for the remainder of the season.
Though I don't like it when a coach or manager gets fired mid season, this seemed to be a different case. This team had been expected to win the NFC East and possibly host the Super Bowl. They now stand at 1-7 with their year virtually over. Jerry Jones no doubt just wants the embarrassment of this so called "talented team" to end. As a PR move and a move to try to get this team's head straight, it had to be done.
As for Jason Garrett, this your audition for the part of Head Coach. Don't miss your lines.
