The Rapids Win First MLS Cup

I like talking about Soccer occasionally so deal with it. The 2010 MLS Cup came today with the Colorado Rapids facing FC Dallas. Not exactly the match up many Soccer fans were looking for but still an exciting finish. David Arturo Ferreira would score the first goal off a great cross in the 34' to give FC Dallas the lead. In the 2nd Half, Colorado would even things up with a goal by Conor Casey scoring while laying on the ground after a slide attempt. The game would go into Extras and in the 2nd half of Extras Macoumba Kandji of the Rapids would shot a ball from the side and it would hit the knee of George John, a FC Dallas defender, and go into the net. A unfortunate Own Goal. FC Dallas would make a late push to no avail as the Colorado Rapids win their First MLS Cup, 2-1.

Bad luck for FC Dallas and George John. A whole season comes down to that. What a shame. Still, congratulations to Colorado and their title. Great showing for them in Toronto capping off a great season of MLS.

P.S. Has Landon Donovan's popularity died down enough to be transferred permanently? Well find out in January.
