Conference moving is not over in the NCAA. TCU has decided to accept their invitation to join the Big East Conference and leave the Mountain West. They will become the 17th member of the Conference and will start their athletic programs in there by 2012. Now for namesake, this is a bad move. TCU is more around the Big 12 area than the Big East. If anyone should be wanting TCU, it's the Big 12 who have lost a couple of members. If you put namesake aside, It's a good move for TCU, at least for football. The Conference has higher prestige than the MWC, it has a automatic BCS Bowl bid attached to the conference, and as of now, TCU might be the top frog, so to speak. Although, the team will likely lose a bunch of players by then. I do think, however, that TCU will benefit overall from their new conference.
P.S. ALL ABANDON THE MWC!!!
